Hi Gihan Greetings from Singapore! I love your photos on the Vesantara cloth paintings. I am doing my MA (as an overseas candidate with kelaniya university) on such cloth paintings. Would you be able to share with me some more information on how the vihara uses these paintings? And may I please use your photos in my thesis?
ReplyDeleteHi again, it looks like a scanned copy from a book, would you be so kind as to let me know which book this is? Are such traditions still practised in Sri lanka?
DeleteHi ACM, Thanks for your appreciation. Really sorry for late reply.
ReplyDeleteNo prob. you can use those photos for your thesis.
Hi friend...
ReplyDeleteYeah...all those photos are scanned from a diary. I published it because of their value.
I really dont know about whether those traditions have been used in Vihara paintings. But if I will get to know about that, let you know.
